I have some good ideas that can be converted in to Mobile Apps. I would like to develop programs based on those ideas for other mobile platforms like Windows Mobile, Android , J2mE , Blackberry etc. Some of the ideas are for simple application for personal use and some are for enterprise level use. I am presently in India with regard this. Can anyone suggest a good company who develop apps ? Who are reasonable with their rates? Anybody tried doing this in US?

Does anyone know whether any iphone apps are in development? After the release of the sdk i'm sure there'll be a load of developers taking up the opportunity but I've heard no news of people like msn and facebook building apps. Does anyone know of any apps that are in the making?

I was with Oracle from 1995 to 2006. I started as Apps Engineer and my last role was Senior Development Manager for a very niche product. After leaving Oracle , I did consulting for one big client. In parallel I kept on looking for good roles. I am looking for Senior Manager/Director level roles. I have tried Dice, Ladders, craigslist, linkedin etc but not getting much response. I am in Bay Area and not very keen on travelling. Any ideas/suggestions/leads will be great ?

Have experience in PHP, HTML, javascript, and interfacing SQL with the aforementioned. What I'm looking for is something that wouldn't be too far of a leap from those languages mentioned but would be a good place to start as far as desktop applications go. I've heard Visual Studio Express and .NET are wonderful places to start, but are they free? Any ideas, resources, or tutorials would be greatly appreciated. :)

I know this has been asked on here before, but the 3rd gen came out recently and you can now get up to 64GB of space, so it warrants another pass. I have music and movies too, but I have other iPods that I use for that. What do experienced 3rd Gen or even iPhone users recommend as far as space goes for someone just interested in the apps, and maybe some app development. Thanks!

I want to get into iPhone development, but I have an important question. There are plenty of alternative to Objective-C, but the real question is, why WOULDN'T I use them? Let's take Titanium for example. It can be used to create native applications for multiple platforms, and not just the iPhone. Wouldn't it be much better to learn to use that instead? Are they less flexible/powerful? What's the percentage of iPhone developers that directly use Objective-C to make their apps?
